Happy New Year!
With the great Manny Vega at his book launch at MCNY, 2025.
A big THANK YOU to my clients, colleagues, and friends who helped make 2025 a success! I spent much of the year hard at work on projects for 2026. Brett Palfreyman and James Merlino worked with me on two America 250th exhibitions: Seeking Profit & Power: Philadelphia, China Trade, and the Making of America at the Independence Seaport Museum (opening March 2026), The Colonel Tye Experience for the Sandy Hook Foundation.
I dove into the research and content development phases for a 2026 exhibition for the National Women’s History Museum tracing how faith inspired the activism of American women throughout history from Frances Ellen Watkins Harper’s abolitionist poetry to Grace Lee Boggs’s community-based work.
I can’t wait to share each of these projects when they open.
I was delighted to see the publication of Byzantine Bembé: New York by Manny Vega a bi-lingual exploration of his drawings, mosaics, and beadwork (Giles and the Museum of the City of New York, 2025).
And, of course, I was thrilled to publish a new edition of An Almanac of New York City. A pint-sized love letter to New York City in the form of a planner chock full of quotes, events, and historic tidbits. It made the NAIBA best seller's list and I was amazed (and honored) to see it keeping company with Banksy in the MoMA gift shop!
I’m looking forward to the New Year and wish all of you all the best.
